Detail shots /click for full/:

Made with:
- Lumograph 2B,4B pencils,
- Mechanical pencil 2B,
- Blending stump, kneadable eraser.

This is my wee 'tribute' to Japanese cars and Japanese culture in general, simply because I respect how they respect others.
I wanted to leave the background open and bright.

I used a reference photo, which I modified to bring out shadows, dark shades, and to give it a highly reflective, "chrome" feel.

Thanks for any feedback!

Tranquility [sketch] by TarcDnB
Tranquility [sketch]
Thoguht I'd try white on black paper (A4) for the first time. Made with white pastel pencils and white chalk.
I'm not too satisfied with especially that it as it was a gift, but it was good practice for this type  at least, turning away from graphite for a little. It is hard to do details with chalk.
Next drawing will be graphite :)

(When I took a photo of this, before uploading I did a little experiment by inverting the colors in Photoshop just to see what grayscale would look like and, well, it's nowhere near as smooth as I could have done with graphite, so yeah, I need a lot of practice with chalky materials.)

I'm Gábor and I love realism. I've drawn for a long time but started taking it seriously again in 2010.
I have some 'idols', great artists in hyperrealism, so my goal is to get to that level one day.
For that, I'll need to use colors, which is a bit of a worry to me because I'm red-green colorblind...
